I was able to secure a HELOC through Agave, and Cristian Saenz facilitated the loan process. He was terrific and understood my need to be careful giving out personal information over the phone. He listened to my needs, was kind and patient, and offered me a product that worked well for me. The loan was funded quickly and with Cristian's help it was all a fairly painless process, compared to most loans I've obtained over the years. Refinancing on your home is a really an awful process... At least I thought it was.... We were trying to find the right company that didn't make us feel like we were in a used car lot. After almost giving up, we received a phone call from Jena Throne at Agave Home Loans. And she made this process sooooooo much easier. She truly cares about her clients and literally goes above and beyond. I felt like I was dealing with a friend, not just a salesperson. Her communication throughout the process was amazing! I just refinanced with Agave Home Loans, and the process was so easy! I'll admit I'm slightly biased -- I'm married to a co-owner -- but he asked for "blunt and honest feedback." I talked to Sam and went over all our documents with him and he pre approved us for a loan. When we signed a contract two weeks later for a condo he then told us since I was unemployed that we couldn’t use my income and we weren’t going to be able to get the loan. Even though when I first talked to him I told him I was retired but drive for Uber and Lyft for extra money . But I told him I’m not driving now because I’m making more on unemployment and don’t have to put myself at risk driving people around the area . I asked him why you didn’t tell us this two weeks ago when he pre approved us and we sent him pages of documentation. I told him I understand if you can’t get a loan when your unemployed but why did he string us along for 2 weeks. He had no idea about the unemployment situation in the US and that unemployment was at 15 percent nationwide. I was totally flabbergasted and sounds like he didn’t know about Covid 19 either. There co owner paul called me to apologize but at that point he couldn’t do anything. We called another mortgage company and an hour later we had a mortgage without using my info. We just used my wife’s documents and they put me on title
